New United Frequent Flier Number

All consultants and other frequent fliers need to pay attention to a big change being caused by the United/Continental merger.

As of March 3 United and Continental will be technically merged as one airline under the United banner. You will get a new United frequent flier number which will begin with two letters. If you have a travel agent, and good for you if you do, please make sure they have the new number. Even if you don't make sure you get the new number from United.

TSA Pre-check Program to Expand

Consultants and other business travelers will be happy to know that TSA will soon be expanding the Pre-check Program to 28 airports. This program allows frequent fliers to pass normal security checkpoints - there is no computer check, no shoe removal etc.

If you are a frequent flier you should have or will soon receive an invitation from the airline with which you have the most miles to join the Pre check.  If you do not receive and invitation by mid March contact the airline.
