This city was the most populated town in the world (almost 1 million). Remainder of day at leisure, you may want to visit the great mosque of Cordoba, considered the nicest among the historical mosques, also the Cathedral. You can also take a walk around the Jewish Quarter, with its fresh narrow streets and Andalusia "patios", where you will find one of the few perfectly preserved Synagogues in Spain.
